Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has fired back at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, describing him as a “criminal and drunkard.”
Sowore’s reaction followed Wike’s appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where the minister berated him for recently labelling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a criminal.
Wike said Sowore was “lucky” that Tinubu respected the rule of law, warning that he may not have enjoyed such freedom under other leaders.
In a statement, Sowore accused Wike of advocating violence against him, claiming the minister suggested Tinubu should have had him eliminated.
“I heard that the FCT’s drunkard–murderer Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – CON, GSSRS, said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have assassinated me for calling him a criminal,” Sowore said.
He further lamented what he described as Nigerians’ tolerance for corrupt leadership, adding:
“If Nigerians weren’t so docile, criminals, thieves, and murderers would never have leadership roles in this country. SAD!”
