Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has fired back at the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State after its factional chairman, Tony Okocha, called for his arrest over comments describing President Bola Tinubu as a “criminal.”
Okocha had condemned Sowore’s remarks and demanded that security agencies move against him.
In a swift reaction, Sowore accused the Rivers APC of engaging in acts of terrorism, labeling the party a “terrorist organization.” He cited a Canadian court judgment that, according to him, had linked the party to terrorism.
Sowore also faulted the legitimacy of Okocha’s position, insisting that a court ruling had already declared him not to be the authentic chairman of the party. He further dared Okocha to visit Canada and “see what would happen.”
The activist, who is already facing scrutiny from security agencies over his description of Tinubu, vowed not to be intimidated by what he described as attempts to silence him.
