Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused a police cameraman identified as Victor of stealing his Ray-Ban AI glasses during the #PoliceProtest held on Monday at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Sowore made the allegation in a post on his verified social media account, claiming that the officer in question is attached to the office of the Force Public Relations Officer (PPRO) and works directly under the supervision of PPRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi. He further alleged that the act was carried out on the instructions of Adejobi.

The protest, which was staged to demand improved welfare and pension reforms for retired police officers, drew significant attention from activists and the public alike.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force has not issued any official response to the allegation.
