A family in Rivers State has been thrown into mourning following the death of their 6-year -old daughter who was hit by a motorist at the Lagos Bus Stop axis of Port Harcourt, while on her way to church yesterday night.
According to an eye witness, the incident was shocking as everything happened so fast. He said the driver of the vehicle was trying to reverse when he hit the girl before ramming into an electric Pole.
He said they all scampered for their lives at first, only to come back to see the corpse of the little girl, lying on the road. “We never knew the driver had hit the little girl” he said.
The father of the deceased who spoke to journalists, said he omly got a call from someone that his daughter had been involved in an accident.
