The Director General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Folorunso Aluko, has revealed that six additional state governors are expected to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) by 2027.
Aluko made this known on Thursday during the PGF Quarterly Strategy Meeting of Information Commissioners from APC-led states, held in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He stated that the ruling party is strategically positioned to consolidate its influence across the country and achieve its political objectives ahead of the next general elections.
According to him, the PGF is confident that the number of APC-controlled states will increase from 24 to at least 30 by 2027.
Aluko also stressed the need for synergy between state governments and the federal administration, urging APC officials to “speak with one voice, act with integrity, and serve with renewed hope” in the collective mission of nation-building.
