Six individuals abducted by suspected sea pirates along the Bille waterways in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State have regained their freedom after spending 11 days in captivity.
The victims, who were en route from Bille community to Port Harcourt, the state capital, were intercepted by armed assailants on April 4. Their boat was reportedly diverted to an undisclosed location.
They were released on Tuesday, April 15, according to local sources.
