The Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, has said that its officials were on Tuesday, attacked by thugs, and prevented from arresting Sim Fubara, the Rivers PDP Governorship candidate.
Spokesperson of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren disclosed this in a statement today.
According to him, the incident occurred at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
Uwujaren who condemned the attack, warned that the commission’s civility should not be taken for granted.
Meanwhile the PDP has denied attacking operatives of the commission.
It noted that the fight at the airport was between workers and some of its members.
