Gloria Anuri-Ohia, Rivers State Coordinator of the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA), has urged members of the public to make use of the newly established Rivers State Sexual Assault Referral Centre to report cases of sexual assault and rape. She highlighted the centre’s crucial role in supporting victims and strengthening the delivery of justice.

She also explained the concept of sexual harassment and called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara to begin signing execution orders for convicted sexual offenders in the state.
