Abuja — Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has filed a petition with the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio and one Dr Sandra Duru of criminal conspiracy, defamation, and cyber-related offenses.
In the petition, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleged that Akpabio and Duru orchestrated a coordinated smear campaign against her, involving defamation, cyberstalking, and an alleged attempt on her life.
“The allegations against me are false and part of a conspiracy to undermine my work and reputation,” the senator stated. “I fear for my safety and that of my family due to the harassment and intimidation.”
The document further claimed that Duru, operating under the alias “Prof. Mgbeke,” initially posed as a supporter but later demanded payment in exchange for crafting favorable narratives and mobilizing online backing.
