Miss Unity Major who emerged as the Best Junior Female Mathematics student in the just concluded National Mathematics competition has been granted scholarship by the lawmaker Representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Betty Apiafi.
The junior mathematics genius who hails from Abua/Odual Local Government Area, before the win attended Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Okoboh. She has now been enrolled in Hallel college, in Port Harcourt.
Senator Apiafi had promised to train Miss Unity up to university level when she got the news of her exploits.
Some stakeholders have commended the Senator for the kind gesture, while calling on the state government to invest in the student who has made the state proud.
