Senator Magnus Ngei Abe has reacted to the inauguration of state, local government and ward leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State by a faction of the party loyal to the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Abe in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Parry Benson over the weekend, described the action as an act of impunity. He accused leaders of the party of failing to consult widely before the move.
Abe who also accused Amaechi for being behind the purported inauguration, noted that the party was on the path of failing again in the upcoming elections, in the state.
“It is indeed unfortunate at this critical time in the political game, that the APC in Rivers State has learnt nothing and forgotten nothing, it appears that the minister and his supporters are still hell-bent on “their way or the highway,” he said.
“The end result of this kind of behaviour is not difficult to predict. As usual, it will end in failure,” Abe added.
