The Nigerian Senate has proceeded on annual vacation and is expected to resume plenary on the 15th of September 2020.
This was disclosed by Senate President, Ahmad Lawan after plenary on Thursday in Abuja.
He said important and urgent matters that require their attention will still be attended to as the various committees of the Senate would be working and available for such.
Lawan urged some of its committees to engage the Executive arm, on the Petroleum Industry Bill as such engagement would reduce the time needed to carry out legislative work on the bill when it is sent to the National Assembly.
