The Nigerian Senate has passed a series of bills aimed at strengthening the country’s education and professional training systems.
One of the bills makes it mandatory for every child in Nigeria to sit for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), and Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Additionally, the Senate approved legislation to establish the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, as well as a bill to create the Chartered Institute of Training and Development of Nigeria, aimed at enhancing professional capacity in the country.
