Suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has alleged that Nigerian security officials are planning to arrest her upon her return to the country.
Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES from the United States on Sunday, Akpoti-Uduaghan linked the alleged plot to her participation in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting in New York on March 11. During the event, she raised concerns about her suspension from the Senate and accusations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
“I’m aware there are plans underway to have me arrested as soon as I arrive in Abuja,” she stated.
The senator remains outside Nigeria as the situation develops.
