The Chairman of Gokana local government area, Hon. Confidence Deeko has described Senator, Magnus Ngei Abe as an “Uncommon politician” who supports the Human Capital Development programme of the LGA, despite being a member of the All Progressives Congress.
Hon. Confidence made this known yesterday in Gokana, while receiving laptops from Senator, Abe to support the council’s ongoing computer training programme for children.
The council boss, who commended Magnus Abe for his kind gesture, urged other political leaders in the area to emulate the APC Chieftain.
Senator, Abe on his part, said he will continue to support programmes geared towards moving the LGA forward, irrespective of his political affiliation.
He stated that Education of the future is in the computer, and that if children are only trained on how to read and write, they will end up becoming illiterates in the world to come.
The Senator, explained that he decided to donate the computers to enable more children participate in the programme.
