Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ekwe Ibas (Rtd.), has reaffirmed that the security and welfare of residents remain the core focus of his administration.
Speaking through the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, during a strategic security meeting with stakeholders in Khana Local Government Area (LGA), Ibas pledged continued collaboration with local authorities to safeguard communities and promote well-being.
At the meeting held at Suanu Finimale Hall, Bori, Ibas called on residents to protect vital infrastructure, particularly oil and gas assets, and advocated regular security briefings to proactively address emerging threats. He stressed that community-led security initiatives were essential and encouraged the recruitment of local youths into the police force to strengthen manpower.
The Administrator commended the people of Khana for their orderly conduct and active participation in the meeting.
