No fewer than five persons yesterday, sustained minor injuries after an electric pole collapsed at Easgle Island Junction by Iloabuch Road, in Diobu, Port Harcourt.
According to Keke drivers at the junction, the pole fell aftermath the heavy downpour.
They said the incident would have claimed lives if there was power supply at the time.
One of the drivers said when the pole collapsed, those around sustained minor injuries as they scampered for safety.
They called on the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, to as a matter of urgency respond to the situation.
Recall that a nursing woman was yesterday, burnt to death at Agip Estate, after a high tension cable fell on her building.
