Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has funded the construction of a road in Obi Nkita/Ali Agwor, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The road, which connects to his hometown, was previously unpaved and riddled with potholes. Sabinus reportedly financed the ongoing project and has been documenting the construction progress through videos shared on his Instagram stories.

While many Nigerians have applauded the comedian for his philanthropic effort, others have raised concerns about the legality of private individuals undertaking public infrastructure projects without official approval.

Some critics have also taken the opportunity to condemn the government for failing to provide and maintain basic infrastructure, urging authorities to take responsibility for community development.
