The Rivers State Government has urged the Federal Road Safety Corp in the state to arrest tricycle drivers who ply major roads in the state.
The state governor represented by the state Commissioner for Transport, Osima Ginah made this known during the flag-off of the ember month safety campaign by the FRSC in Port Harcourt.
He noted that the state government had placed a ban on all tricycle operation on major roads in the state.
Osima Ginah assured the FRSC that the state ministry of transport is ready to partner with the command to ensure road safety in the state.
He further warned that any tricycle operator caught plying major roads in the state will face the full weight of the law.
