Governor Nyesom Wike has threatened to take legal action against the Federal Government.  This is for deducting N11b from the Federal Allocation Account, (FAAC) to fund the Nigeria police.

The governor during a state-wide broadcast today at Government House Port Harcourt, said the money was deducted from the account without the consent of the governors.

Wike who said he is not against the funding of the police, noted that governors would have been notified before such move. He confirmed that he has alerted his lawyers to take legal actions against the federal government.

The governor  further asserted that they cannot continue to be slaves as the country is not under a military regime.
