The Rivers State Government has sealed three fuel stations in Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt local government areas, for selling Premium Motor Spirit also known as fuel above the approved pump price of N162.
The state commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Peter Medee disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, today.
He said the fuel stations were caught in the act, when he led a team of taskforce, on an inspection tour of some petrol stations in the state.
The commissioner, stated that government will not allow petrol dispensers to inflict more hardship on residents of the state, by shortchanging them.
He called on residents to report any fuel station, selling fuel above the approved price, as the state government is out and ready to deal with anyone found wanting.
