The Rivers State Government is set to construct a New Government House jetty.
State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the government will flag off the construction of a new ultra modern Government House Jetty, Today, July 7, 2021.
The commissioner, confirmed that Governor Nyesom Wike, will be the Chief Host at the event which will attract dignitaries from all walks of life.
Nsirim, noted that the new Jetty when completed, will comprise Governor’s Boat Lounge, Marina, Navy Camp and other modern facilities.
He also said the old Jetty located at the Marine Base Area of the State capital has been dilapidated for so many years.
He warned that all COVID-19 protocols will be duly observed at the venue.
