The Rivers State Government has reviewed the curfew earlier imposed on the state.
Governor Nyesom Wike in a state broadcast on Saturday, said the curfew in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas, will now be from 8:30 am till 6:00 am, with effect from Sunday May 16, 2021.
He said the decision was reached after a state Security Council meeting at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Saturday.
The Governor, urged residents of the state to obey the directive, as it is geared towards the protection of lives and properties.
He said his administration in collaboration with security agencies is doing everything possible to end Insecurity in the state.
