The Rivers State Government has reacted to a statement by the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi that the state has goneback to its days of insecurity under the current administration.
The former Governor made the claims during the funeral rites of late Justice Adolphous Karibi-Whyte in his hometown yesterday.
The Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike, Chief Emeka Woke who represented the governor in a swift reaction yesterday said it was obvious that Amaechi has lost touch with developments in the State.
“It is unfortunate for Amaechi to come to Kalabari Land and accuse former President Goodluck Jonathan of not developing the area six years after he had left office,” he said.
“I wonder why the former Governor will choose to make such embarrassing remarks at the funeral of Late Justice Karibi-Whyte, a man he claimed to be his mentor,” he added.
