The Rivers State Government has announced that it will give out N100,000.00 to any whistle blower who gives out relevant information leading to the arrest and prosecution of defaulters of its directives.
Governor Nyesom Wike made this known in a state-wide broadcast at Government House, Port Harcourt today.
Wike who announced the closure of all shops, hotels and businesses in the state, said any person, group or institution that violates his directives will be made to face the full wrath of the law. He urged landlords to ensure that no shop opens within their premises or risk loosing the property to the state government.
Wike who also ordered a total lockdown of Obio Akpor and PHALGA, alerted the people of the state that the usage of face mask is compulsory. The use of masks is geared towards curbing the spread of the coronavirus in the state.
