The Rivers State Government has disclosed that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has refunded the N400,000,000.00 counterpart funding it received for the construction of the Mother and Child Hospital in Port Harcourt.
Governor Nyesom Wike disclosed this when he visited the hospital yesterday to check the level of work done.
He said, “the facility was conceived to be a partnership between the State Government and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
“But the NDDC did not fulfil their own part of the agreement. “The State Government decided to construct the facility because of its importance to the State,” he added.
