The Rivers State Government has hailed media organisations in the state for their contribution in the advancement of good governance the state.
Commissioner for Information and Communications, Rivers State, Hon. Paulinus Nsirim made this known in a statement during a meeting with media executives over the weekend.
He commended media organisations in the state, for maintaining what he described as high level professionalism in their reportage with regards to the activities of the state government.
Nsirim then appealed to media organisations to continue to engage in constructive criticism when the need arises.
He dismissed the notion that the government was only concentrating development in two local government areas and encouraged journalists to carry out investigation into the matter.
The media personnel in their remarks thanked the commissioner and the state government for their cooperation and support.
