The Rivers State Government has directed civil servants on grade level 1-13 to resume work. The civil servants were few months ago, directed to stay at home, due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Head of Service in the State, Rufus Godwins who stated this in a statement on Wednesday, said the civil servants are to resume work on Thursday, April 29 2021.
He advised the returning workers to strictly adhere to all COVID-19 protocols, as government continue to fight the pandemic.
The state ranks fifth on the list of states that have recorded the highest number of COVID-19, cases in the country, since the outbreak of the pandemic.
It currently has 22 positive cases as about 101 persons have lost their lives.
