Governorship Candidate of Labour Party in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubo says governor, Sim Fubara has started paying gratuities of civil servants, promoting workers and employing Rivers youths.
Itubor said this when she appeared on Channels TV Politics Today.
According to her, Gov. Fubara has the interest of Rivers workers at heart, and that his policies are people friendly unlike that of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
She said the maltreatment of workers by the former administration prompted her to contest the governorship seat, noting that the current administration was already amending the misdeeds of the past administration.
On why she withdrew her petition against Gov. Fubara: Itubo said the petition was withdrawn for the interest of peace, in order not be part of those inciting crisis in the state due to the current situation on ground.
She also said calls by stakeholders for her to withdraw the case prompted her decision, adding that a case had already been filed at the Supreme Court.
Itubo vowed to build a healthy opposition that would applaud when necessary and criticize constructively when the needed arises.
