The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Opibi, has announced that the institution will graduate 13,242 students at its upcoming combined convocation, which coincides with the university’s 55th anniversary.
Speaking ahead of the event, Zeb-Opibi explained that the ceremony covers two academic sessions — 2023/2024 and 2024/2025. According to him, 10,628 students will receive first degrees, while 2,594 others will be awarded postgraduate degrees.
He noted that the university is still finalizing some records due to outstanding course registration issues by a few students.
“We are hopeful that on the day of the convocation, the full statistics — including the numbers graduating with first class, second class upper, second class lower and others — will be available,” the Vice Chancellor said.
