The Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has announced that academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session will officially commence on Monday, November 3, 2025.
According to a statement from the Office of the Registrar, Mrs. I. B. S. Harry, the university hostels will be opened on Sunday, November 2, 2025, to allow duly registered students sign in ahead of resumption.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, who on Friday, October 24, 2025, inaugurated the Hall Wardens, charged them to ensure discipline and proper management of bed spaces.
He also warned students against the sale or transfer of bed spaces, stressing that anyone found guilty will face disciplinary action.
The university advised all students to pay their school and accommodation fees promptly to secure hostel spaces and ensure a smooth start to the new academic session.
