Students of the Department of Nursing Science, Rivers State University, who sat for the September 2025 Midwifery Examinations conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) have reportedly emerged successful.
The examinations, held from September 9 to 12 at the ACE Training Centre, Iriebe, Port Harcourt, and ACE-PUTOR, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, are a mandatory professional assessment to determine the competence of aspiring midwives. Successful candidates are certified as Registered Midwives (RM), a key requirement for obtaining a professional license to practice in Nigeria.
The 100 per cent pass rate by RSU students is seen as a testament to their hard work and academic excellence, while also underscoring the university’s commitment to delivering quality education and professional training in nursing and midwifery.
