The Rivers State Police Command, says no student was raped during the robbery incident at Hostels C and D in the Rivers State University.
Reports say some female students of the institution were raped during the incident.
However, spokesperson of the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko while reacting to the incident in a statement said personal belongings were stolen but no student was raped.
“I am aware of the incident and investigation is ongoing. As we speak the Divisional Police Officer mobilized his team to the school and he met with the School Chief Security Officer and normalcy has been restored,” she said.
