The Faculty of Communication and Media Studies (FCMS) at Rivers State University (RSU) has announced its maiden International Conference, themed “Shifting Paradigms: Inclusive and Innovative Communication in the Era of Digital Disruption.”
The three-day event, scheduled to take place from October 15 to 17, 2025, at the Rivers State University campus in Port Harcourt, is expected to draw over 200 leading academics, industry professionals, and researchers from Nigeria and beyond.
According to the organisers, the conference will feature over 100 scholarly papers across four thematic tracks: Communication, Ethics & Culture in the Digital Era, Digital Communication, Democracy & Development, Storytelling, Strategy & Ethics in Digital Communication, Digital Disruption, Health & Society.
Participants will also engage in keynote sessions, panel discussions, fireside chats, exhibitions, a heritage banquet, and an international trade fair, all designed to shape the future of communication scholarship and practice in the digital age.
