DISCLAIMER:
The attention of the Management of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has been drawn to an interview by Channels Television on Thursday 9th May, 2024, circulating on the social media wherein the former Rivers State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zachaeus Adangor SAN, alleged that the Governor of Rivers State has directed Management of the University not to accept him back to the University from his Leave of Absence.
This is therefore a DISCLAIMER announcement and to inform the General public that Prof. Adangor applied for Leave of Absence to enable him serve in the Rivers State Executive Council and that since after his resignation as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, he is yet to apply to the University for resumption of duty.
We wish to state categorically that there has not been any directive by His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, to the University Management not to accept Prof Adangor back to his duties as claimed in the said interview.
The general public is advised to ignore such claim in its entirety.
