A business tycoon identified as Lesi Maol has reportedly paid tuition fees for about 90 students of the Rivers State University from Gokana local government area of Rivers State.

Former Secretary of Bera Students Union Government, Precious Beete disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

His statement reads,

NO SCHOOL FEES, NO EXAM.

With deep sense of mind I humbly join my fellow Gokana students in the prestigious Rivers State University to appreciate a quintessential business tycoon sir. Lesi Maol  for his philanthropic shown of love to pay school fees for 90 Gokana students in Rivers State University who are stranded because of the recent policy of “No school fees, No exam” policy by the Rivers State University authority.

However, without missing words it has come to the notice of the students and the public at large that the list of beneficiaries has resulted to a alot of controversy between the students and the student leaders as at when the list was published ab initio.

The names of students that appeared on the first list is missing out completely while they submitted their names on time

Why do we always do this kind of thing? go to the WhatsApp group now and see the way students are crying and weeping because there names were removed from the list.

Moreover, below are some of the  casualties discovered;

1. Comr. Sunday Confidence with beneficiary No.30 on the list who is the National President of Gokana students World wide is a student of Ken Poly and not even a student of Rivers State University that is affected.

2. Kpalap Nwindum Festus, with beneficiary No. 83 who happens to be the Senate President Gokana students World wide is a student of Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic and not a student Rivers State University.

3. Monale Gift Banuna – Nugos Vice President world wide is also not a student of Rivers State University.

4. Obisike Joy Amos – a citizen of  Andoni is also on the list.

And lots more…

Why did they remove the names of people who were on the list and replace them with names of people who are not in Rivers State University?

Most final year students have missed 3-4 papers, students have borrowed money from countless loan Apps without even having hope to pay back.

Why would people be so wicked to remove students names that are at the verge of dropping out and having extra year in school?

If we don’t have sense don’t we have conscience?
