A clergy man in Ahoada Local Government Area of Rivers State, has alleged that the state government is yet to compensate owners of the land they acquired for the construction of the Ahoada campus of the state University.
The man in a statement yesterday, said despite promises and assurances by the government, they are yet to receive any money.
He also said they have on different occasions written to the government for them to fulfil its promises, but all to no avail.
He called on the state government to pay them as the lands were their source of livelihood.
You would recall that the state government acquired lands for the construction of the campus, and had also claimed that all persons involved had been compensated.
