The Rivers State Police Command says it would carter for the the Ikokwu Four and the family of late automobile mechanic, Chima Ikwunado. Chima was allegedly tortured to death by four police officers while in detention.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni made the revelation in a chat with news correspondents in Port Harcourt Today. He said the command would do everything within its powers to ensure that they are well taken care of.
Meanwhile, stakeholders have commended the command for the initiative, stating that it would help ameliorate the sufferings of the surviving Ikokwu four and Chima’s family. Some equally called on the Police to open a “Go Fund Me” account for the victims.
