The Rivers State Police Command has reacted to rumuors that its officers have been off-duty since after the attack on its stations and the killing of its officers across the state.
Spokesperson of the state command, Nnamdi Omoni in a telephone interview on radio today said it is not true as officers are still carrying-out their normal duties.
He said although the spirit of the officers have been dampened and their morale low, they still come to work on a daily basis.
He said most of them are undergoing psychiatric tests as directed by the Police hierarchy and would resume duty fully once the tests are completed.
