The Rivers State Police Command has reacted to attack on the Director-General of the Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State, Hon. Abiye Sekibo.
The state commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong in a statement Today, said the attack on Abiye Sekibo was done by suspected thugs.
He stated that the matter is currently being investigated and that efforts are on to bring the perpetrators to book.
Abiye Sekibo was reportedly attacked last night while inspecting venue for the PDP rally in Port Harcourt.
