The Rivers State Police Command, has met with leaders of various Political parties in the state, ahead of this Saturday’s local government elections.
The state commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka met with the politicians in Port Harcourt, Today.
He assured politicians and residents of the state, during the meeting that the command will ensure the safety of lives and properties of Rivers people, during the poll.
The CP, called on politicians to play by the rules, and also advise their supporters to be of good conduct during and after the poll.
The Police Boss, also said officers of the command, will be deployed to strategic positions across the state, to ensure a successful exercise.
The State electoral empire had pleaded with the state Police Command to ensure adequate security during the exercise.
