The Rivers State Police Command, says leaders and stakeholders of Omudiagha community in Emouha local government area of the state, have been invited to a crucial meeting to finding lasting solutions to the lingering crises in the area.
Spokesperson of the command, Nnamdi Omoni said this in a statement while confirming the killing of a vigilante leader in the area on Tuesday.
He said the Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday has ordered an investigation into the matter, as Police officers are currently in the bush in search of the suspects.
He noted that Investigations revealed that vigilante and cult groups in the area are at loggerheads over an unknown issue.
Omoni, called on members of the community to remain calm as the Police is on top of the situation.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Emouha Local Government Area, Chidi Lloyd says security personnel deployed to the area have restored peace in the community.
