The Rivers State Police Command has said that it is investigating the alleged physical assault on Mrs. Nwanyanwu by her brother-in-law, Hon. Blackson Nwanyanwu.
Spokesperson of the command, Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this in statement today.
Omoni who noted that the victim has reported the matter to the Human Rights Desk of the command, said she was given a Police medical report form to proceed for treatment.
Meanwhile, the victim has called on the relevant authorities to properly investigate the matter and ensure that Hon. Blackson is brought to book.
Mrs. Nwanyanwu who maintained that Hon. Blackson and his siblings assaulted her, said he boasted after the incident that nothing would happen as he is above the law.
