The Rivers State Police Command says it has deployed officers to local government council secretariats across the State in line with the directive of President, Bola Tinubu.
The New Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mustapha made this known during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
According to him, the command is determined to ensure peace at the councils, adding that measures have been put in place to ensure normalcy returns to the state.
He also said they will work closely with sister agencies and the communities for effective security of lives and property.
