The Rivers State Police Command, says it has deployed over one thousand five hundred officers to Anambra state to help ensure the smooth conduct of Saturday’s governorship election.
Spokesperson of the command, Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this in a chat with journalists Today.
He stated that plans are on to deploy more officers, as the command has over fifteen thousand officers in the state.
He also said the deployment of officers would not affect the security architecture of the state because there are enough officers on ground to ensure the protection of lives and properties.
Omoni clarified that it is not only Rivers State that has deployed officers to Anambra, but all states.
He furthermore, assured residents of the command’s commitment to ensuring peace in the state.
