The Rivers State Police Command has denied rumors of extrajudicial killings in Oyigbo Local Government area of the state.
Spokesperson of the state command, Nnamdi Omoni made this known in a chat with news correspondents over the weekend.
He said the command was in Oyigbo to carryout on the spot assessment of the situation.
Omoni noted that the hoodlums who killed some of its officers and carted away properties of the command have been arrested as they have confessed to the crime.
He advised residents to disregard information of extrajudicial killings by the command been peddled on social media, as it is not true.
