The Rivers State Police Command has dismissed reports that its personnel physically assaulted staff of the Ikwerre Local Government Council this morning.

There were reports that some officers attacked staff of the council who showed up for duty this morning

Reacting, Spokesperson of the command, Grace Iringe-Koko denied the reports stating that officers were at the council secretariat to disperse suspected hoodlums who wanted to force their way inside.
