The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the killing of one Alex Uwazuruike, leader of a local vigilante group, OSPAC, at Omudiagha in Emouha local government area of the state.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the killing was cult related.
Omoni, explained that unknown Gunmen stormed the residence of the deceased on Tuesday night, shot him dead and cut off his head.
He said his corpse was recovered and taken to a mortuary in the area.
SP Omoni, also stated that peace has been restored in the area and that officers will remain in the community until normalcy fully returns.
