The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the release of Pa Ejekwu – Father of skitmaker, Sabinus.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko in a statement said Ejekwu was released after a directive by the Commissioner of Police to officers to ensure his freedom.
She said, Pa Ejekwu was abducted on his way back from an event outside Port Harcourt at the weekend, adding that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
Sabinus had in a statement revealed that a ransom was paid for his father’s freedom, but did not disclose the amount.
