The Rivers State Police Command has condoled with the families of the 29-year-old, Gospel Gbaraka who was shot dead by a Mobile Police officer in Port Harcourt yesterday.
The Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan commiserated with the family when they paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Port Harcourt Today.
He informed the family that the Mobile Police officer is currently undergoing orderly room trial and would be dismissed from the force if found guilty.
He assured that the matter would not be swept under the carpet as justice must be served.
Mukan who furthermore assured residents of the command’s commitment to the protection of lives and properties said, officers are not sent to the streets to kill people.
